I'm tired of posting in the Information Portal and never getting a reply from CCP..
I have two computers here 1 Apple and 1 PC. I downloaded the patch 3 times for the PC and 2 times for the Apple and it was corrupted on install each time.
It finally screwed my old clients up, so I had to download the full install and try that. Well it worked for the Apple and it's working now. However I've now downloaded the full client for the PC twice and it still gives a corrupted message when the installer runs the unpacker.
At this point I still can't get the game to run on my PC. I know it's nothing wrong with my PC because I've seen other say they are getting the corrupted files as well.
I have to ask, has anyone figured it out? I'm not wasting my time downloading it again. I'm actually kinda ticked off because I just paid for a second account last night that I can't use.

Well at least I'm not alone..
It's obviously something wrong with their downloader. I had the same issues the first time I D/Led the game for the PC a few weeks ago. I kept getting corrupted files errors at the very end of the install.
The only download that worked then for me, was the optional torrent download.

Man I dunno what they did, but I decided to start a new D/L of the full install before going to bed. To my amazment I'm getting 6.2 MB/sec..
Yes that's 6 megs a second, wasn't a typo. It just downloaded the full 1.9 gig file in roughly 6 mins.
However it was still a useless download as it checksum errored when tryig to install. However at least it's progress...

If it was just me.. then I'd concede that fact.. Even though the same problem appears on two totally different machines.. (Apple & PC)
However as you can clearly read in this topic, if you did read it.. I'm not the only one having this problem. I think there is clearly a issue with the installer.
thelung.. I'll try using a diffrent file path, to see if that works.

I tried patching my client manually, and this did exactly the same thing. I will uninstall mine tonight and try the full download...
On an extremely annoying note, the auto patcher worked perfectly on my work PC, for ****s sake!
If it's working OK on another PC why is it suddenly CCPs fault?
Have you bothered to look at the posts in the information portal? Some are 20+ pages long with people having this problem or others..
thelung.. I just D/Led via the torrent file (took 5 mins for full install so I can't complain on the D/L speed) but I couldn't change the install directory. I'm getting the checksum error when it unpacks the files piror to install.
